steep cost for a midnight buffet
The wife told me last night that her parents are going on a cruise soon, and my father-in-law is upset that they have to pay a $5 per person per day fuel surcharge. He's convinced the cruise company is trying to rip them off.
When I went on a cruise in high school one of the highlights for me was the day I had just finished a particularly tasty dinner, our waiter asked me if there was anything else he could get for me, I said "How about another dinner", and he brought one to me. To me, that kind of experience alone is worth at least a $10 per person per day fuel surcharge, so I feel like my father-in-law is getting a great deal.

Hmm... my parents are going on one for Christmas this year, their first. They aren't complaining about the price in the least! Though they are doing cost saving things like bringing their own snorkel equipment.
I bet they'll have fun even with the fuel surcharge :)
