job? what job?

About a week and a half ago I began an entry, which I never finished, that went like this:

About two weeks ago my boss began a sequence of events that have been severing me from the company a little at a time. He hasn't fired me, but he's come almost as close as you can without actually having the person not work for you anymore.

It all began with a new way of calculating how he was going to pay me. Rather than being paid for the number of hours I work, I'm now paid on a job-by-job basis. Ok,

Well, yesterday he fired me. It's probably best for both of us, but this is a very stressful and frightening time for me. I've wanted to move my career forward for a long time, and since the new payment method that quest has been that much more urgent, but now it's mandatory.

Anybody know where I can find a job?

Sorry to hear it! I mean, how WILL you survive without someone telling you that you have a dainty nose? I cannot imagine.

Anyhow, good luck with the job search, strange how sometimes we need a kick in the rear to help us do something that should have been done without the kick. A firing is about as bad a kick as I know!

I'm going to echo Shells' comments, but also suggest that Intermountain Health Care is hiring for just about any job you care to apply for..... You can always move back here, closer to family....

Moving back to UT would be all well and good if it were just a matter of moving out. But owning a condo during this crappy period in the housing market makes that not wise. Besides, we just found a good mexican restaurant not far from here, and in this part of the country that's like finding a well-paying job in UT... next to impossible.

Ugh, with the housing market as it is, you are totally stuck in Jersey for awhile. Better though, if you are sticking with wedding business, the midwest does NOT do weddings like the coasts do!!!

Well, you both have good points. :-) Ok, I bow to your wisdom. :-) Still, if you want some advice on having your own photography business, I can put you in touch with my parents who had a photography business on the side for several years. They can tell you ups and downs and realities of running your own business etc. Whatever you decided good luck and I'll put your name in the temple out here. :-)
