vacation

The wife and I went on vacation last week. We spent almost a whole week on a houseboat at Lake Powell with my family. I injured my knee on the first day1 and had to spent the rest of the time sitting in boats watching everyone else have tons of fun. Still, it was a very good vacation and I enjoyed almost every minute of it.

I saw a lunar eclipse the first night we were there. I had no idea there was going to be an eclipse, and just happened to wake up that night just in time to see it hovering over the horizon. Another great thing about the eclipse is that it darkened the moon enough to see the stars. Double whammy of astronomical awesomeness!

It was nice to see a bunch of my family and some of the few friends I have who haven't moved away from SLC yet.

1) By the way, knees bend backward pretty easily, but I found out the hard way just how little they like being bent to the right.
