I live in a pretty crappy neighborhood, but there are some good things about it. One thing I love about it is the diversity of people who live here.

About a block away from my home is a private elementary school that caters to the large Muslim population in our part of town. As I was walking past it this morning I noticed that the playground was full of students playing games, and the women who run the school were barbecuing something that smelled very tasty. They're a traditional enough school that all the women and older girls wear headscarves to keep themselves covered, but liberal enough that one of the women was wearing a sombrero over her scarf.

Only in New Jersey...
